Well that's true murder is the ultimate crime. However i think Being locked up in a prison is the best punishment. I would prefer if the UK takes on the US notion of "Death for a Death", execution I think its the morally right thing to do. Being in prison i think is the easy way out, as you are still getting fed and a bed to rest on.
